Is Hypnotherapy Successful in Losing Weight?
In one word… YES!
Although it wouldn’t be much of an article if I stopped there now would it? I am sure you want to know more about hypnosis and weight loss, well the first thing I am going to tell you to stop doing is telling yourself you need to LOSE weight.
Why am I telling you this? Well, your subconscious mind is responsible for everything you do (or don’t do) so you need to change the way you talk to it, especially if you want to change your shape and size.
Talking to yourself differently is one way to help re-programme your mind into helping you on your weight loss journey. There may be a reason why you are overweight, a deeper problem that needs to be addressed before your able to get down to that perfect size and shape for you.

You have to remember that this isn’t a magic trick, you won’t suddenly walk out of a session slimmer.
Let me start by asking you some simple questions to see if you can understand what I am trying to get at:
- If you lose your cars keys what do you want to do?
- If your child losses its favourite toy what do you start doing?
- What do you do when you lose your favourite watch?
My guess is you answered something along the lines of “find it”.
Well if you are telling yourself you want to lose weight somewhere in your subconscious it may be trying to find it again.

The easiest example I can use to show you what I mean is when you were a child did your parents say to you things like “eat all your food and you will become big and strong” or “you’re not leaving the table until your plate is cleared” or “if you don’t eat it now you will get it for breakfast”?
